I recently visited this Urgent Care, and I couldnt have been more pleased with my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff who genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, which immediately put me at ease. One of the most impressive aspects of my visit was the incredibly short wait time. I was seen almost immediately, which is a rare and much-appreciated experience in healthcare.The physician assistant or nurse practitioner (Im not entirely sure of their title) who treated me was exceptional. They were attentive, took the time to listen to all my concerns, and answered my questions in clear, easy-to-understand terms. Their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of my care.Overall, the professionalism, kindness, and efficiency of the entire team made for an outstanding experience. I highly recommend this urgent care to anyone in need of prompt, compassionate care.
My first visit here the staff were friendly and helpful. The service seemed quick and it went well. I went as a referral, as it was work related, over a week ago. I cannot return to work until my employer and myself get the results back. This is why Im only giving 2 stars. Theyve had the results for a few days, but every time I call I get the excuse that theyre busy. This is work related, my employer and I shouldve had some priority to get the results back, especially when its been this long already. It doesnt take that long to fax and make a call. Do better.
Receptionist was welcoming and it was helpful to have completed the registration online while making the appointment. Waited for about 25 minutes and was called back by the nurse.Nurse was also very welcoming and had a great demeanor throughout interactions.Provider Jennings came in promptly and apologized for my wait time and listened to all my concerns without interrupting. Got my diagnosis within 10 min and prescription was called in before I left the office. She was highly effective with her time and I was very impressed with her bedside manner.Would highly recommend here and would go again if I needed urgent care in the future.
An exceptional walk in clinic. This was my third time and consistently the receptionist is one and welcoming. The medical team are attentive and also kind. Today I needed stitches and the PA was Jay and he is always so good. I left with great care and a smile on my face!!!
Excellent service from beginning to end of my sick visit. The physician was compassionate and listened well to everything that was going on with me. IF I COULD: ZERO STARS!!!!!On 8/14/24 I went in to this urgent care to hopefully get help without going to the hospital or anywhere else, but it was the complete opposite. I have insurance and was suppose to be charged 125, but was charged 250. When I finally found out they over charged me ( I called my insurance to confirm this) I let them know and they where rude. I told them I was on the phone with my insurance, they didnt care, and proceeded to say the were correct in overcharging me. Struggled to get a refund and still waiting for it. In addition, the test they did did not tell what was going on with me. They were guessing with very little medical information they had on me and what they told me was complete bull. They said that I had things I know that wasnt true. Plus, they said to keep taking and doing things that I was doing before and they knew it wasnt working.
Ive never had to wait an unreasonable length of time , online scheduling is easy to navigate. Staff is friendly and the facility is clean. This is close to my work and the two times I used AFC , they were able to get me in, where Baycare couldnt untill the next day. Ill continue to use AFC for future visits!
This is my favorite location by Tyrone! EVERYBODY on staff is amazing everytime. Ive been there 5 times and every person I met is very attentive, sensitive when needed, and very educated. I ask a lot of questions and never felt like I was being too much. Im so glad I have the membership now!

The ladies at AFC were very attentive to my needs. From Savanah being friendly and calming my nerves down while doing my vitals, to Kristen being gentle and friendly while doing my xrays. Laura, the provider was very thorough in explaining what was happening to me during my visit. She was very knowledgeable and broke information down to me where I was able to understand the important information that was given to me. I read a previous review about her being a Karen. This woman is by far a NO KAREN! Im glad I decided to have my healthcare done here. These ladies were on point, friendly, and professional during my healthcare experience. If ever I need any more help, I will definitely return!!
On Vacation in St Petes Beach. Needed some medical treatment. Found this Urgent Care online. Was very happy with my choice!Very clean, well organized. I made an appointment on line so my wait was short.The NP was very thorough along with an additional female staff who helped with my treatment. They were very professional and friendly!They diagnosed my problem, prescribed medication and I hope to be feeling better very soon! I would definitely recommend this facility!

I recently suffered an injury to my eye, and went to the Tyrone urgent care clinic for assistance. I was very impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. And the doctor quickly diagnosed my problem and prescribed treatment. I will not hesitate to visit the clinic in the future.

I am so disappointed with this location. I made an appointment and I follow the directions and upload all the information and arrive on time. I kept getting texts that my appointment is soon and then a message that I am checked in and I’m good to go.I arrive at the location and they are CLOSED!Why would you have your system up and running saying there are appointments available if the location is closed? Why would you waste my time?I would have left a very colorful message if I could have.Avoid this place. They are irresponsible. If I could have given zero stars, I would have.
My Aunt wasnt feeling well, (turns out she was having a heart attack) afc refused to see her , she has multiplan ins with full out of network benefits and I told them I was told to bring her there by the insurance but because they didnt want to take the time to add the insurance and bill it they refused to see her. TgH urgent said they didnt have her insurance on file but would see her, they did an ekg and rushed her to bayfront ER. She had had a heart attack the day before that we were unaware of and she was having another. She passed a few days later. Will never go to AFC again since they couldnt be bothered to add new insurance and bill causing more stress

My appointment with Dusti Russell, APRN, was the best experience I have had at any Urgent Care type facility EVER. She was patient, pleasant, caring and extremely knowledgeable. She truly seemed to care about me and how I was feeling on a holistic level.

I went to AFC with a broken toe! The doctor was wonderful! I was seen right away and had 3 xrays. The doctor was so thorough and she did not rush the visit. I will return to AFC Care the next time I have an emergency.

Nurse Practitioner Dusti and Nurse Monika were very compassionate and caring. The whole staff was friendly and professional. I am so grateful for the time NP Dusti spent with me during the consult and the treatment. She listened to me and shared her expertise. NP Dusti gave me a lot of great self care suggestions to hopefully avoid future issues. Nurse Monika was helpful with intake questions that I had and follow up care. They both had a great sense of humor and were very experienced. Since it was later in the evening, I expressed concern about being able to pick up my prescription from the pharmacy to begin antibiotic treatment right away. They even offered on site filling of my prescription. It was a great value for me. I definitely recommend AFC UC and if I have future care needs I will 100% go there first.

This was a fantastic place to get all my pre-operative screening done for a new knee. From a general exam, to blood work, imaging, and more. They are very well organized. Know exactly what to do next. Keep the patient comfortable while looking for and administrating so many individual tasks that were requested by my surgeon. Umm.. i really liked Nurse Dusti and Kristen. They took really good care of me. Calmed my fears, educated me and made sure there were no additional questions i needed. It took a while, but that wasnt their fault at all. Thats what happens when youre working alone. They should get more help. Dan made me feel comfortable as well. And i do not remember the ladys name at the check in, but she started the entire process off comfortably.
If I could give this place a 0 I would , horrible rude staff . Shante was the one checking in this day . My husband walked in at 11AM to get a drug test and a physical done for his job , she told him to have a seat and wait . My husband waited for almost 2 hrs and walked up to the desk and asked for an update since people that got there after him were being called in before him. Turns out he was never checked in so he was there for 2 hrs wasting his time. And when asking the girls what was going on Shante didn’t know anything and directed us to talk to another lady there named Karen I believe , dark skinned heavy women. Who was also very rude and stated other people were being called in before my husband because they had an appointment. Which we understand, what was messed up is waiting there 2 hrs and not being checked in. Definitely need more friendlier efficient staff that knows what they are doing . And definitely a new manager since this one was very rude and thinking she was right for telling us we had to wait . Don’t go here and waste your time.
They treated me very quickly, they were very kind, the doctor took my prescription very quickly to the pharmacy, and I only waited 10 min. im very grateful.

Still waiting over an hour to be seen while having to suffer through music geared towards the youth employed there. Just unresponsive in general and will go to a different location next time in need.Uodate, they close in minutes and still no response to be seen.

We came to Florida from NY and our little guy spiked a high fever. We brought him into the office and the staff was AMAZING. Sky at reception was so sweet and kind to him and the nurse was absolutely aces. He was so scared and nervous and the nurse held his hand, gave him a bunch of toys and lollipops and comforted him greatly. We were in and out in under 30 minutes. We have never received medical care like this back home, ever. Sadly, he tested positive for flu and hoping he recovers quickly.
This is the best Urgent Care in St. Pete .... Bar none!!! They are efficient, proficient, and professional. Dont waste your time going elsewhere.
Abigail and Dusti are amazing. They made me feel comfortable from the minute. I came in, even though I was not feeling very comfortable and was wondering if I was just me being a bit of a wimp. However, they assured me that was not the case, and they took the upmost care of me. The knowledge and kindness and compassion shown to me is second to none, and so appreciated.I say this every time I leave, but I have to say it again, you all are the best! Im sure the other AFCs are wonderful, but they do not have you! Thanks to ALL who helped me; from the lady I spoke with prior to my arrival to the kind lady who checked me in. I want to make sure everyone is recognized for the fine job that they do. Thank you again, to all of you, especially to Abigail and Dusti- my 2 angels. 😇

My daughter went here for possible cellulitis and had a horrible experience. I understand its the holidays and busy. The medical assistant brought her to the room on FaceTime w someone else. The nurse practitioner had both air pods in her ears and hardly listened to her complaint. It was a simple visit that she only needed antibiotics and they were completely unprofessional. Unsatisfactory medical service. She eventually did receive antibiotics but the bedside manner could be improved. Do better!
My girlfriend and I were in St. Petersburg for the weekend. We woke up the morning of checkout to find her eye completely shut and swollen. It was stressful being far from home and having to stop somewhere for an emergency. But the staff at this clinic were super helpful and got us in and out quickly. Nicole was very sympathetic and got her just what she needed! The clinic was very clean too.
I had a wonderful experience at this location. The staff was very helpful and friendly- I had Star as my nurse and she was amazing!!! She made me feel very comfortable, she took my blood for some tests and it was the easiest experience I’ve ever had. I’ve been to a few urgent cares that were terrible but this location was great. 10/10 recommend
AFC Urgent Care was everything advertised on their website. Securing your spot in line is easy, and filling out the paperwork before you go in is fast and convenient.The facility is VERY clean and well organized. Abagail took me back for information gathering and vitals. She was competent, helpful, and friendly. She explained exactly what tests needed to happen and the timelines for treatment.AJ was a great provider and called in all the necessary scripts when test results were available shortly thereafter.I was in and out in an hour!I would definitely recommend AFC for all your urgent care needs-they were exceptional. All the stars, highly recommend!

I was very well taken care of and will only come back to see this NP and I wish I had asked if she worked at another location Shes versatile and well trained in her professional not only in health care but has excellent bedside manners. I began to feel so much better the same night, after starting antibiotics my NP prescribed. I had ZERO ISSUES picking them up and starting them the same night! You all were a God send to me! From the minute I walked in that was genuine! I want to express a huge thank you with all my heart to my provider Nickole and my beautiful nurse ( I dont think I got her name) she was genuinely concerned about my health& well being that night we didnt really get to be chat it up. lol. I cant say how much that meant to me especially in this day and age where most nurses are there for a paycheck and majorly lack any medical knowledge like the repeated visits I mistakenly made going to TGH walk in. Never have I ever experienced my CO2 blood oxygen levels being low... I knew I couldnt breathe and I was quietly panicking inside but I didnt need to say a word for the first time in the 40yrs I have been alive I was assisted with a CO2 tank to help comfort me while I was being Monitored making sure I was safe and comfortable, which I highly appreciate! 😊 . I was very grateful I wasnt turned away and told to go to the ER I was very much at my Witts end due to being seen by another urgent care days before and received ZERO HELP SO I WAS SKEPTICAL BUT I AM SO BLESSED I PRESSED THROUGH THE DOOR AND RECEIVED THE BEST CARE IN THE TAMPA BAY! Thank you all Again!!!! ♥️

I seen the staff clean the door handle that lead to see the medical staff but did not proceed to the front door or any other. Funny as You’d think if cleanliness was a priority for them they would clean all areas not just their door handle. The small actions shows their priority for care and the health of others.
I’m not one to ever post reviews on anything because it’s not worth the time, but genuinely this was the worst experience i have ever had going to any doctor. i went in with an ongoing issue, expecting to feel validated as a patient, but the doctor was quite literally so rude and disrespectful and made zero effort to help me. the entire visit i felt that he was in a rush to be somewhere and made me feel like i didn’t belong there. he diagnosed me with something i didn’t have without doing any testing of any sort and prescribed medications that I didn’t need because i went to a different doctor after that horrible experience, and when i showed the other doctor the paper he sent me on my way with…and he laughed. honestly avoid this location like the plague. the other reviews saying the doctors suck here, they unfortunately were not lying. i gave this place a shot after all the bad reviews, and unfortunately they lived up to the 1 star review im giving. do better.

I rarely go to the doctor for things like this but was so uncomfortable with the symptoms I was having that decided to see a doctor. I was seen by an ARNP with short blond hair with a tattoo on her hand. I dont know her name. This visit was extremely discouraging. I have been experiencing hives that come and go and make me extremely itchy and uncomfortable for the last two weeks. Im 100 percent positive that they are hives and the lady literally was trying to invalidate my concerns once she found out that I take anxiety medication and blamed it on the anxiety. I mentioned I got hives once before when my dad died and she ran with it suggesting it was anxiety which Im certain it wasnt because there isnt anything in my life happening stressing me out etc. She literally told me there wasnt anything she could do, basically, why was I there. Her attitude was condescending and unconcerned at all which I dont find professional. She ended up prescribing an oral medication only because I pushed the concern. To top it all off I called before hand and asked if they could provide some type of allergy shot to relieve symptoms and they said yes which was not was offered or even taken seriously. The staff was very friendly and nice but the ARNP and doctors apparently give this place a bad rap. Very disappointing
Called about covid shot today. The woman that answered the phone just answered hello! Having thought I might of reached the wrong number, I asked is this urgent care? Which she replied yeah!! Thats who you called. I asked if I needed an appointment, which she responded angrily. This is a walkin clinic sir. Im sorry but I had appointments for both of my covid test at this location. She was even nasty when I showed up. Just saying, Im in for a long wait. Im sorry your life sucks lady.
I was impressed with the entire office..... from the time I entered the doors and was greeted and processed, to the competent and professional way NP Moore resolved my medical issues. Well definitely use this office in the future for any medical needs I might have.

Brought my mom here today for shortness of breath. I felt that the service she received from the time we walked in to the time we left was wonderful. The two ladies at the front desk were very nice and welcoming, even observing their interactions with others who arrived after us. The nurses and doctor were very attentive and made sure that my mom understood everything they were saying. There is nothing we can really do about timing, each emergency is different, but I was very pleased with the care my mom received.
No one wants to go to urgent care, but AFC made it easy, pleasant, and quick.
Last week, I scheduled an appointment as I woke up very sick and was heading out of town that same day so I needed to be seen somewhere asap to get on some meds to travel with. I waited an incredibly long time to be seen even though there were hardly any other patients. I was extremely sick and feeling terrible while waiting. Once I was put into a private room, it took almost an hour before I saw anyone again. No one came in to say how much longer the wait would be, let me know where bathrooms were located, nothing. Once the PA finally came in, she spent about 5 minutes (at the most) in the room and just diagnosed me with an upper respiratory infection. No kind of testing was done, no samples taken and no Covid test performed. I definitely had more going on than what I was just quickly diagnosed with. The TV in the front waiting room was so loud, I couldnt hold a conversation with the person who came to the appointment with me. Music is played in the back that is also very loud and not soothing by any means. Typically I wouldnt be bothered by such but when you are feeling like you are on your death bed, it is very bothersome. Lastly, I was charged $150 for the visit and I have very good insurance. I wont be coming back for any future issues.
I had the best urgent care experience Ive ever had at this AFC location! The front desk staff were welcoming and approachable when I arrived. The best part of my experience was the nurse who saw me, Kelly, who was honestly probably one of the warmest, most comforting health professionals Ive had in my life (and Ive seen lots). She was genuinely memorable. So friendly, made me feel so comfortable, had a very positive energy, and I didnt feel rushed out after my exam at all---she patiently spent time with me as I asked her questions. Nurse Kelly had a clear, detailed, informative answer for every one of them. I will be coming back here for future health needs! 😊
Everyone was extremely caring from the receptionist to the tech, the provider was also very personable and kind.
My first few visits to this facility were great. However, I went back recently with severe cold symptoms that resembled a sinus infection and had a very different experience. The provider did not test me for ANYTHING - not covid, strep, sinus infection, etc. - but prescribed me a steroid and cough medicine, and told to call back if I didn’t improve. I continued to get worse and developed a sinus infection that was later diagnosed and treated at a different urgent care. When I called asking if I could get a treatment prescribed since things worsened in the way we had discussed, I was told that I’d have to come to the facility even though they saw me three days earlier and knew what was wrong. The other urgent care provider was shocked when I told her that I wasn’t tested for anything at AFC. I’m sure everyone was doing their best, but I was in a significant amount of pain and had to miss 2 days of work because I did not receive the proper care. I will not be returning to this facility.
I am writing this on behalf of my grandmother: The staff at AFC did an awesome job with treatment! I came in with a large gash in my leg and was able to instantly be seen after sign in with Emma. Nurses Kirstie, Angie, and Dr. Darrell Hopps were all very friendly and professional. They did a great job at making me comfortable, keeping everything clean, and making sure I wasnt in any pain through my 11 stitches. We also had fun talking and joking around throughout the whole time I was there! - Cheerie

The nurse who took my vitals (Erica?) was super sweet and the nurse practitioner, Jessica, was great. I really like the link that showed where I was in line and the expected wait time.
We had an appointment scheduled online for 7:40 PM. We received a confirmation text to be there 10 minutes ahead of schedule. Walked in at 7:24 PM and had someone checking in before. When it was our turn to check-in we were told our son running a 102.3 fever could not be seen because they don’t register after 7:30 PM. 2 problems with this. 1- why have a process to register for a 7:40 PM appointment if you have no intention of taking a patient. 2 - we were there 16 minutes prior but had to wait for another patient to check-in that did not have an appointment.To turn away an infant that is not feeling well because your rude, non-caring and belligerent office staff doesn’t want to stay later is obscene. Find a new line of work!! I would not recommend nor ever return to this place. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my lifetime. And I’ve had some pretty bad experiences.I guess I should have read the reviews prior to registering. The high number of 1 and 2 star reviews speaks volumes about my experience.
The supporting staff at this facility is caring, pleasant, patient, and compassionate. They were top notch and very efficient. That is the only reason I gave two stars. The chairs in the waiting room were very worn and cracked but area was clean. I had, what I thought, an infection in my finger. The nurse practitioner I saw was completely unaware of any reason my finger could be extremely painful, swollen and hot. I suggested the infection. She stated ,”I don’t know”, to every question I had. I asked what she thought and again, said ”I don’t really know. I will give you antibiotics because it won’t hurt you. If you get better, I guess you had an infection. If not, I don’t know.” This is the medical opinion I am paying out of network for and I have no idea what that amount will be. ( I’mfrom Pa.) I asked her what I should do if the finger does not improve. Guess what she said? “ I don’t know, I guess come back here”. I don’t think so. Cannot recommend this Urgent Care to anyone, which is unfortunate because, as I stated, the rest of the staff was really, really good. And there wasn’t a doctor at the facility, so I was uneasy with that.
The checking in process can seem kind of impersonal. Once inside everybody is very kind and caring. I am really impressed with this Urgent Care / walk-in clinic.Edit: I have a different instance now and had to go to Baycare down the street. I MISS YOU! They are horrible.
This is my go to place to receive excellent care. One time I went I had to go to emergency room cause I had Kidney stones. Doc was right on. This time I went for a cold tested for Covid and Flu it was the flu. I recommend this Clinic for sure.

There was a minor wait due to it being busy which is understandable, but the staff were really great, very nice, and the visit itself was efficient and well-done. I have a lot of social anxiety but I felt quite comfortable during the visit, and the staff were easy to talk to and overall a great help.The building itself was easy to get to, despite being in the middle of a few very busy intersections, with entrance/exits on multiple roads which is great for coordinating with traffic. Parking is adequate, with some trees to provide shade (always good).

Absolutely recommend this clinic 100%. Wonderful front desk person checked us in. The triage nurse was very thorough and kind. The provider was kind and straight to the point. We are very pleased with the treatment plan and will always go to this clinic in the future if we need to.
This is now my second visit here and both times the MA has messed up my labs. The provider Darryl Hopps was great, both times. But both times I have gone there the MA messed up my labs whether they didnt send it off same day or label it, I went back to AFC regardless of them messing up. They AGAIN didnt send my specimen to the lab it has been 4 days since I have been there and my lab result is no where to be found. I work in the medical field so I have access to see pending and/or final lab reports and there is nothing at all yet again. So I called yesterday to see what lab they sent my specimen to and she didnt even check she assumed what lab not even verifying that it was even sent. Beyond irritated and completely unprofessional you guys seriously need to pay attention to the people you hired!
Awesome staff. They were so kind and considerate and helped tremendously with my one year old while I was waiting to be seen by the doctor. Ive been here several times and it literally never had a bad experience. Im really grateful that theyre in my neighborhood

While on vacation I injured my toe baldly. I selected AFC as I have used them in my hometown. So happy that I did. Being away from home, they made me feel very comfortable and confident in their care. The doctor and all the nurses and staff were incredibly kind and caring. Thank you!

Sat for 2 hours only to have them tell me they can’t help with my concern . Provider acts like she hates her job . Very unfriendly . Front desk was nice.
The doctor who saw me was very helpful and had good bedside manner. I did not feel overly rushed. He explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. All of the other staff was very friendly and helpful. I waited 1-2 hours to see a doctor. But that is often way better than the alternatives. Ive seen others wait much longer at the ER or to get a primary care appointment. Their computer system seems like it could use some work, based on comments from other arriving guests. If you have a non life treating urgent medical issue, Id recommend this location.
Down here on vacation and broke out into a bad case of hives. Made an appt for 810 in the morning. I was the first patient there and was told the provider was running about 5 mins behind and would be there shortly. At 820 they roomed me and told me the provider was 5 mins away. At 844 he finally came in. The provider was super nice as well as the other staff, but very unprofessional being that late to work.
I was able to schedule and fill out the insurance forms online. Check- in was easy. The nurse practitioner I saw was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. I love how they have all the rates for services posted on the wall. I went in for a sprained wrist and saw beforehand that they could do x-rays. Everything went smoothly. The Tyrone location was great.
Very little wait time, everyone in the office was professional and courteous. The NP knew exactly what was wrong and came up with an accurate account of what was needed.
I made an appointment for a rapid COVID test at 9am. Checked in at 8:50. It was not busy at all and they brought me in at 8:55. The woman at the check in desk was super nice. The woman who actually did the test for me was also super pleasant and she was super gentle with the test. It was as pain free as could be! I got my (negative 🙌🏽) test results in about 10 minutes. It was overall such an easy and convenient visit. I definitely recommend this place!
Nice little healthcare center to take care of your nonemergency needs so you don’t clog up the emergency room. Had a great experience out 30 minutes on the road to recovery now thank you again.

Walked in for drug screen and was immediately greeted by the lady at the front desk that was so polite and pleasant, when I walked up to the counter, another smiling face under a mask, then the lady that performed the test was nice and pleasant as well!The entire staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and patient with me and all of my questions which I appreciated tremendously! The building was clean front and back and I felt safe sitting in the lobby as everything was set up appropriately with all seats socially distant as required and the wait was minimal!Thank you AFC Tyrone for a quick and pleasant experience!

Lady is AWESOME! Not only can she draw blood better than any medical professional Ive ever come in contact with but shes an amazing nurse. She took the time to give me a follow up call a few days after my appointment. She sincerely cares. The facility is clean and kept up. Staff is friendly, efficient and thorough. The check in is flawless and all done with your phone. They still allow walk in appointments and offer free Covid testing. No appointment necessary. I waited no more then 10 minutes to have a test done. The from checking to the nursing staff are friendly, efficient and compassionate. I felt they enjoyed their jobs and sincerely are there to help you. I highly recommend this urgent care.
Only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because I came to this location end of last year for a COVID test & had a plesant experience. so figured I’d use the same clinic again for another situation. Very disappointed. The scheduling, wait, lack of communication, just terrible. Made a reservation online for an injury needing an x ray, showed up at the reserved time (on crutches), only to then be told that there was a 2 hour wait & that the reservation made isn’t an actual appointment. Left & came back as directed to be seen when it was my turn. Got vitals taken then was seen by the PA only to be told their x ray machine was down & don’t have an x ray tech on-site anyways. Why wasn’t this told to me at the front desk or when the reservation was made? Very poor customer service/patient consideration. I was sent to the ulmerton location & was seen with no wait.
Have been here twice now. Once for COVID testing and once for an illness. Both experiences are good. It’s nice you can do all the paper work at home before going in. Wait times are not bad, but I still waited even with an appointment (this just helps you get in the line before you arrive). Nurses and LPN I saw were all very polite, throughout, and caring. Definitely will continue to use this facility for urgent care needs.

The nurse that took my blood pressure, temperature, etc was absolutely wonderful. She was so caring and kind. I wish I could remember her name but I dont. The doctor and rest of staff were also kind and caring & very thorough as well. I will definitely recommend your facility to friends and family.

Going to Urgent Care isn’t something you typically want to do, but I had an overall great experience there. The staff was extremely nice and the vibe was good. They seem like they have a good time there and I love that. I visited to get a DOT physical and would recommend their location.
We had an incredible experience here! We arrived, unsure if they would be able to accommodate us on short notice, as we were traveling out of state. Anne was absolutely fabulous, walked us through the process, and took care of us right away! Clean facility, efficient service, I would highly recommend!
Went here to have some staples removed from a gash I had in my head. Everyone in the office was so kind and courteous. I was in and out very quickly. I would highly recommend this urgent care to anyone.
My father went in about 2 weeks ago after previously having a fever during Christmas. He’s 65+ years old. They didn’t listen to his lungs they didn’t prescribe him antibiotics (once again he’s 65+ y/o) they told him it was a virus and “let it run its coarse” the doctor was rude. Now 2 weeks later he’s in the emergency room for pneumonia. White blood cells at 24. Tons of fluid in his lungs. This has happened to my girlfriend, sister and mother. At other AFC locations aswel. I’ve never heard of a doctor saying just let it run it’s coarse and not even give antibiotics, zpac or anything for his cough. It’s flue season to begin with. Is this Soviet Russia? Is there a scarcity in medicine? The doctor was rude and would even listen to him “just let it run its course, we’ll just take your money and not even give you antibiotics”. It’s the biggest joke. Stay away from this corporate chain if you want to be diagnosed correctly
Tho’ the staff is sweet and polite, I’m afraid that they are not professional . They kept me waiting for over an hour and a half. Then , based on my symptoms,diagnosed me with the flu, but did NOT perform a flu test! Even with their prescription , my symptoms got progressively worse. Turns out, I was misdiagnosed, I actually had A sinus infection that spread rapidly. When I informed My home pc , he couldn’t believe how unprofessional they were.If I’m paying $175. Out of pocket just to walk in, then A flu test should not cost anything extra. And If they had tested me properly in the first place, Then I could have been on the road to recovery by now.I hope this facility will take better precautions in the future.
Friendly professional staff. I felt comfortable and well cared for. The only glitch is that pharmacy did not receive 1 of my prescriptions. A quick phone call should straighten that out. I would highly recommend this urgent care facility and won’t hesitate to use it again if needed.

I needed a PCR test for a trip to Panama this weekend and just flew back to town and was on a time crunch. I called the office and they were so nice. They said the fastest was to go online and register and they would get me in. I did and they did; they got me in within the hour.I was greeted warmly at the front desk and checked in commenting on how we had spoken and she was aware of my upcoming trip. The nurse who came and got me was very upbeat and super nice. She got my vitals and then the nurse that administered the test, Erica, was great. Turns out she had a Milestone birthday recently and mine approaches. She admixture the test and we chatted as we walked out. Everyone at the desk wished me well on my trip.If I ever have a need, they are on the tip of the list. Thank you all!!
My son woke up with a very high fever in the early hours of a Saturday morning and his pediatricians office is closed on weekends. Searched online and found one of the few Urgent Cares in my area that was open on weekends and would accept his insurance. Was able to make an appointment and complete the patient paperwork online before the office was even open. When we arrived for the appointment the staff was ready for us. We were seen quickly and the entire medical team was nice and accommodating. My son was assessed, tested for the flu, diagnosed and a prescription sent to the pharmacy and we were on our way home within the hour. I would definitely recommend and come back here for any of my families medical needs.
Literally the worst urgent care ever. stuff was nice enough so I give it a one. Got in 40 minutes before my appointment time. Five minutes after my appointment time I asked how long it would be and was told it would only be a couple more minutes. 45 minutes after that I got up and left. Nowhere near busy enough to have that long of a wait time. Would have been better off just going to the emergency room.
I would definitely recommend this urgent care. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. The staff at the registration desk were efficient getting you checked in. The staff that saw me in the exam room were incredibly kind and made me feel comfortable. The whole experience was quick and organized. I would definitely return here in the future if I was in need of their services.
I went to one AFC urgent care facility, but left when the receptionist mechanically said, “Here, fill these out and it will be a 1-1/2 hour wait.” I replied that I only wanted a rapid COVID test and he said, “ yeah, that’s one and a half hours.“ I went out to my car, and made an appointment at the other AFC facility for 50 minutes later. This receptionist was polite, welcoming, and said, “ You’re all set, it will be just a couple of minutes.I walked out with my results in less than 1/2 hour. The PA who administered the test and gave me my results could not of been friendlier nor more efficient. Moral of the story: I know which AFC Center to go to, and which one to avoid. Tyrone is clearly the best.

To start off I had made an appointment for 2:55pm and was not seen until 4:30pm that should tell you all you need to know about this “urgent care”. The front desk receptionist had the worst attitude towards sick customers it was disgusting. I understand you’re busy, but when customers can hear people in the back joking and having a good time in the back and not taking care of patients it’s a little disrespectful. I came to this location based on good reviews and was completely let down. I’ll never be returning and hope that when you have an urgent care need you go else where!
This is the second time I’ve used AFC urgent care for our family. The first time I went in without an appointment and it was a long wait, but everyone was very pleasant.The second time I made an appointment ahead for an early appointment and we were in and out in 15min.I highly recommend this company and the nurse was extremely kind and gentle with my son. I really appreciate all you do!!
I went to this urgent care on Saturday 10/22 with severe flu-like symptoms. I was recommended to go to this location by my insurance, but 30 minutes after I arrived I was informed by a receptionist that they do not take the insurance. I left in tears but then decided that I needed to be seen regardless of the cost because of how sick I was. Another receptionist then took my information and rechecked it in their system, then confirming that they do actually take my insurance. Issue #1.I saw a nurse practitioner, explained my symptoms, and then she recommended a flu test only, and asked me myself if I wanted to add on a COVID test, which would be $50-100 out of pocket. Per her recommendation, I chose just the flu test. Why would she leave that up to the patient? Issue #2.Another woman came into my exam room handing me a piece of paper and telling me I was “good to go” without explaining my test results or the information on the paper. I had no idea what I was supposed to do especially because the nurse told me she would come back with my results. Issue #3.As I was walking out the door I see that my flu test result was negative, but I still don’t know what I’m supposed to do. What do I even have? The paper said “viral infection” … what kind??? Issue #4.The next morning (yesterday) 10/23, I took an at-home COVID test and it was positive. I had to return to urgent care to get a test that would be on my medical record and get a note to miss school and pay an extra copay and test fee. Issue #5.I do not understand how so many things could have gone wrong in such a short span of time. You’d think because we are still in the middle of a global pandemic that has hospitalized and killed record numbers of people they’d be more diligent in their professions. I’m currently in medical school and this makes me really embarrassed to have been treated by medical professionals in this way.Do better.
The place was very busy but convenient because they are open on Sundays which is great. The staff were very nice and there was a good system in place to get everyone tested. There was a three hour wait but that is to be expected since they are offering free testing. However if you need test results in order to be able to go back to work, I would advise going to another testing site. I took my test seven days ago and still no results. My sister got her results in three days and she tested at a federal testing center who uses Labcorp as well so not sure why my test is taking so long. I’ll just keep checking the portal and hope for the best.
Facility is welcoming enough. There were two people in the waiting room before me. I’ve been pulled back to a private room where Ive been waiting for over an hour (still waiting actually). Kind of confusing process with no one checking in.
I have been to this urgent care several times before and would not go any other place. Yesterday was no exception.I have arrived Sunday afternoon and all the ladies, from the front desk to nurses are very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. No waiting time.I had infected leg wound after injury and PA Ms Kelsey Bivacca, SHE IS THE BEST, very professionally cleaned my wound, took care of the infection and sent prescription to my pharmacy.I would give this clinic 10 stars!!!!Thank you girls, I was impressed. Again.👍👍👍
Clean, fast and a friendly team. I highly recommend AFC Urgent Care for your next visit. I was in at 8:30 am and out by 9:20 after a thorough exam and testing with results.
Worse experience ever. I will never visit this Urgent Care site again; my PCP has much better patient care practices. I waited an hour to be diagnosed with acute tonsilitis, unspecified and told to take ibuprofen for pain; it would clear up on its own. Four days later, still having same symptoms, so I called back for assistance. I was told that I can come in for another visit and another co-pay but cannot guarantee that medication will change to antibiotic; provider decides how diagnosis will be treated. Then the receptionist started bashing PCPs by saying that they dont care and just prescribe anything. When I attempted to stop the bashing, the receptionist got upset and hung up; she refused to answer when I called back. So, I called from a different line and was told she was unable to provide the Managers name for communication of my concerns. Therefore, this post will have to do for now while I compile a letter to the franchise owner.
Kindness, efficiency, experience, determination, 4 heroic medical staff that saved me from pain and the probability that if left untreated it would have gotten much worse. I was scared until I stepped through their door. Right away I knew I would get the help I needed.
Very very busy urgent care. Took 2 hours before being seen. The lobby is very small for covid patients. The kiosk should have wipes or Lysol. I was there 2 hours and they cleaned it once. A lot of sick people touched it and it was not safe. I asked a medical assistant/nurse after 1 1/2 to see if she could tell me if she knew the status of my wait and she said no she couldn’t give me any info to continue to wait. I then asked the front desk and she then told me 5 more people. Front desk needs 2 employees not just one to assist for a fast pace urgent care as such. The test took 2 minutes and I was then out the door. Thank you
The PA and staff could not have been more attentive, kind, and patient when treating my 81 year old father. We were their last appointment and running late due to being unfamiliar with the area and they did not rush us or make us feel bad for keeping them late. They were incredibly caring and genuine. Would highly recommend.
I was able to get in with-in 15 minutes of check in. Staff up front was helpful and knowledgeable about covid testing and all other questions. Doctor and nurse were friendly and knowledgeable as well as quick and efficient. Would definitely come here again. The Dr. also checked me over and told me he didnt believe it was covid. I had to pay my co-pay to see him, but it was worth it for the piece of mind.
Went in for a covid test twice. Once for rapid and once for regular (3-5 days wait). I think the first time I waited about 2 days and got the results. The rapid test is $100 with insurance. The staff is incredibly nice and wait times are pretty short. Would recommended to anyone in need of getting a test done.
I had to go in a for a couple stitches in my chin. The entire process was easy start to finish. The lady at the front desk was polite and helpful and the nurse and PA that treated me were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. I was very impressed and felt very comfortable. Thank you
This place makes an art of misery. I waited over two hours before seeing a provider, despite making a time reservation in advance. I understand that urgent care entails waiting, but there is no requirement that they keep you totally in the dark about how long to expect to wait. Any communication would have helped. Of course, they made me pay right away when I arrived so I couldnt walk out without losing money. If anything, I feel like I got sicker from being here. You’re just endlessly trapped in a waiting room full of grumpy people coughing on each other. Theres no mask requirement despite this being a healthcare facility and one that is advertising COVID testing. If youre already sick and just want to torture yourself further, check this place out.The staff weren’t friendly and made no effort to communicate or make the experience less miserable. It would make a huge difference if they just gave you some idea of how long to expect to wait. (Also, what is the point of the time reservation system other than to give you false hope?)Once I saw the provider she was nice enough and seemed helpful, but if you can go anywhere else, I’d recommend using another option. If you’re very ill, you’ll probably pass out in the waiting room anyway.
Came into the Tyrone Blvd location to get a COVID 19 rapid test. Their sign in computer was down so I had to write out all my medical information. Not a problem, stuff happens. But, I noticed that once they fixed there log in computer, everybody that was signing in on it were being called ahead of me. The front desk gave me no explanation and said it could be a couple hours wait. More time passed and people logging in for appointments continued to get called before me. In all it was a 3 hour wait. Staff has terrible bed side manner and the front desk does not communicate well to patients. Look elsewhere if you are in need of medical attention!!
The total experience was awful. I was the second one in the office out of three people at 8 am when they first opened. The other two people already made appts. So makes since they would go back first. I filled out my paperwork with in 5 minutes since most of my information is already saved. Three more people without appts. Came in after completely my registration. Still went back Before me. I go up to the front desk for the second time and she says she’s still trying to get ahold of my insurance.l, this is already an hour I’ve been waiting. They finally I call my insurance and at the same time we both We’re able to get aanswer. I proceeded to pay my copay and yet another person without an appt went back before me. I absolutely understand that there will be a wait at an urgent care but this is ridiculous. I finally go back and it takes almost 20 minutes for the pa to come see me. I can say she was very nice but I thing the rest of the staff needs to figure out a more efficient way to work with patients. This all would of been prevented if the front desk would of call me up to call my insurance know I would get ahold of them much quicker. When all they needed to know was my copay. In stead on me waiting over an hour. And to mention the first time I went up to the front desk was to make sure they even got my registration since the last time I was here the missed and and I ended up waiting quite awhile . One of the main staff members came in the tell me in strep negative and when I asked her what can I can do to help she pretty much rolled her eyes and I had to repeat what was on the form like she had no idea. Not their finest hour
I saw Monica Moore, APRN today and she was fabulous. She was kind, compassionate, and offered common sense solutions. I would see her again.
The practitioners / nurses were extremely understanding, down to earth, and friendly! My only complaint is that I made an appointment beforehand, but the appointment expired while I was waiting in line to check in — frustrating because I showed up on time but there’s only a 15 minute window between checking in. I ended up having to create an entirely new appointment and waited an extra hour.
We walked in, since we could not get into a primary care provider for over a month. New registration process on phone was easy. Did not wait more than half an hour. Provider was cordial and right on point for our needs. Insurance set up easy. A great first time experience.
My husband was seen here today, he tested positive for Covid last week and still isn’t feeling great so he decided to go in to hopefully get another test done and a note for work. He made an appointment ahead of time and waited 1 hour and 30 minutes before even being called back into a room and then waited an additional hour in the room. When the dr finally came in he was extremely rude and not thorough at all. They did not test him again nor did they check his vitals or anything else. They just sent him on his way with a 3 day note for work. This place is garbage, complete waste of money and time. Entire staff is rude, unfriendly and unprofessional.
Everyone is so friendly and they seem to honestly care about their patients. Not always the feeling you get in urgent cares. Triage nurse, Kelly and NP Kelly were both great. Wait wasnt too long. They have a pretty good system that gets you in and out relatively fast. All in all I had a good experience and will return.
My appointment was at 8:10. I had pre registered and upon entering at 8:00, I checked in at front desk and Receptionist was extremely nice and pleasant! I was seated only about 5 minutes before I was called and escorted to the exam.room. I was finished within 10-15 minutes and on my way home. The entire staff was AWESOME! Thanks
This was the best immediate care experience I’ve ever experienced. We were on vacation from Chicago, IL and my sister sliced her foot/toe open from a barnacle. We arrived pretty much around open so there were only a few people in front of us (short wait time). Once back, Erika and Erika took such good care of her. She ended up needing 5 stitches and they were so awesome about it. They were so fun, personable, professional, and kind. They were fast and made sure to educate us on everything. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and I know my sister feels the same. Shoutout to Erika and Erika (the twins!! 🤣).

We contracted COVID and got better treatment from AFC Urgent Care than we did our own Mary Care doctor. And I was just there this morning and received great care and information from their nurse practitioner. They are very professional.

My husband and I made appts for covid tests a few days ago. Online check in was good, straightforward and quick. There is a lot of confusion when we arrived: there was a line of people, others were standing and a machine to check in. We go to the machine to check in and that was fairly quickly. But then we also had to stand in line afterwards, which we didnt really realize until about 10 mins later.All the staff we encountered was very friendly and efficient. The young lady at the front desk, who verified all our information, was sweet and confirmed our insurance covered the rapid test.Total time from arrival to walking out (even with scheduled appt times) was about 2 hours. It wasnt a big deal, since they were very busy, but just wanted people to be aware of that.On the plus side, the rapid nose-swab covid test no longer requires them to stick the swab so far up your nose, it practically swabs your brain too 😀
After a sub-par visit, AFC reached out to rectify the situation. I was able to finally get the propper diagnosis and corresponding documentation. Will be choosing this as my go-to Urgent Care.
1st time visiting. My entire experience, from the moment we entered the facility until we left, was as I indicated “ A 5 Star encounter. ” Would recommend this facility any time you need immediate medical attention.
Waited for 2 hours to have my nose swabbed and I had an appointment. Its freezing and the chairs are all uncomfortable. My check up was extremely rushed as well
All of the staff I saw were very pleasant which I was surprised about! They have to deal with a lot of people who are sick and impatient yet they continued to still maintain a level of professionalism and friendliness. That just made the visit much better. Services were great and wait time wasnt that bad.
The people are so nice and caring and kind. Both times I was in they did their best considering how swamped they were to get us through. The blood test I got was done so well, I had minimal pain where the needle went in. They are as gentle as they possibly can be while still doing their job.
The staff was wonderful and handked everything professionally and efficiently. Couldnt have asked for more in that regard. The only reason for not getting a fifth star is that a family of five walked into the waiting room unmasked, right past the sign that said everyone should wear a mask.Something should have been said to them by the staff. I was in there for a COVID test which turned out to be negative, but I could have easily have exposed the entire family to it.
Brought my wife here for Uti test. They hold us inside for over 4 hours. Very unfriendly and unprofessional staffs. 1 hour waited outside for our turrn. After 2nd hour they took us to a room and got her vitals. And no one showed up for next 2 hours. A nurse showed up after 4 hrs. They said they were short staffed but they should have told us upfront we could have gone somewhere else. The rooms were freezing. I feel sorry for other old patients that were complaining.
I left another urgent care down the street due to frustration and came here. It was. Night and day. My provider (Jennifer perhaps?) was Knowledgeable, a good listener and incredibly compassionate. I will go here in confidence when urgent health care is needed.
Friendly and professional staff, that still know how to be kind but also comedic. Very clean place. I’ve never seen anything be dirty or unorganized (and I’m a cabinet checker). Sometimes the wait is long but it’s Covid season and this facility provides free testing, so that is to be expected so I can’t complain about wait times. They do have an option to register online and wait in your vehicle if you prefer.
I scheduled my appointment very early. I was first in the door and it was fast, easy and efficient. The facility was clean and the staff friendly. They were set up well for social distancing. Excellent experience! I would recommend AFC highly!
We were at a sporting event from out of town and our child suffered an injury. We were able to be seen almost immediately and could pre-register for our appointment. The office was professional, the staff was helpful and results were obtained quickly.
You need a better process. You have 30 people crammed in a lobby during a pandemic. You can say they can wait in the car… however you have to wait in a line for an hour just to check in.I used the kiosk to check in and then went to the window. I asked if I needed to do anything else and can I sit in my car.I got a text that my reservation is for 4:50pm.I had got there at 9Am.When I returned I had to wait again in a hour line that didn’t move and then was told that wasn’t the correct process.Extremely confusing, when you are sick and trying to get some help this is not the location to go to.
The manager at this Location was Wonderful ❤Everyone that works at this location was very nice and made the experience great. We are from Ohio and went in for a Covid test for our upcoming cruise.We could find no appointments available at any CVS or Walgreens in the area. What was great was that you did not have to make an appointment , you could walk in, complete the paperwork and wait to have your test taken. We are so grateful to have a place available to get our test done. Thank you for all your Hard Work !!
My experience was good. I walked in 10 minutes b4 my scheduled time and spoke with the front counter girl.Take a seat she said, and waited about 10 minutes. My wife was called back then I was called back about 5 minutes after her. The girl took my temperature then asked why I wasnt with my wife? I dont make the schedules I just go where Im told. She took me to the room where my wife was being held tested and we heard someone tell someone else Youre positive! You need to come back in 10 days and well test again.! So the walls are kind of thin.Our test was quick and efficient. And we can check our results in a few days at Labcorp on line. As we opted out for the short term rapid test!
This place was very busy but Jessica at the front desk was extremely patient and helpful. Many were not happy with the wait for a test and expressed anger, and she remained calm. She explained how to sign in multiple times and assisted those with technology issues. Dealing with ill and stressed clients has to be difficult but she is a true professional.
My mom & I went for the Covid 19 antibody testing. They were getting packed the minute the doors opened. They handled the crowd with Courtesy & efficiently with smiles! Very nice, friendly people.Tracy a X-Ray tech was our girl who took our blood. Great personality! She made it a great experience in the back!I recommend AFC Urgent care! Kudos!
Quick in and out visit, the team was very kind. Lori, NP was very kind, thorough and helpful. She explained everything I needed to know on how to treat my symptoms.
The staff at AFC was very helpful and attentive, I had to bring my 1 year old there to be seen and we were serviced extremely fast, staff was very knowledgeable and I can’t thank them enough my son is doing much better and I won’t hesitate to bring him there if I ever needed to in the future. Thank you all so much again for your stellar service, I would highly recommend this office, 10 out 10!
I have used this Tyrone location probably 5 times in the last year or so and everytime they are so efficient and kind! The office is very spacious and clean. Im always in and out within 20 to 30 minutes! I always recommend AFC Tyrone!
I felt welcomed and cared for. I am an overseas visitor, and it was particularly reassuring when you are unwell and seeking medical advice that I was treated in a caring manner.
The place was packed with people wanting the rapid Covid test due to travel. I was actually sick and wanted the test to be able to treat my illness. The ladies in the registration area were busy, but kept the registration process organized. The people in the back, like a lovely lady who directed me to a waiting room and Justin taking the test, were amazing, personable and friendly. My only suggestion will be to find a way to keep sick people separate from the individuals who need the test for traveling purposes. So sick people can have priority. Maybe announce in the AFC website if the test is due to illness to register ahead of time before going to the site. Thank you for your service today.
Awesome experience! The doctor was very understanding and down to earth. I needed help with my back and hands from having herniated disks and osteoarthritis. He got me prescriptions for both and x-rays for my hands. He was a huge help and very kind. Id recommend them to anyone.
The staff were kind and supportive even when I found out that my Covid test was positive. I am 73 and I freaked out thinking that I was going to die and the gentleman who helped me and told me talk to me all the way out the door and told me to relax everything was going to be okay to get a hold of my primary care doctor to see what she could do for me and they were just all so nice. Great they were nice to a scaired old lady!!! A great support team!
AJ was awesome. Staff is kind and helpful. Ive been here in the past and it was proficient but sterile.. today it was like walking into a family practice and I was a regular. Didnt wait long at all. Great place.
Me and my family all got sick about the same time. AFC got all of us seen and diagnosed fast. The staff was professional, the nurse was polite and did well with kids, the doctor was very good and pinpointed every one of our needs
Do yourself a favor go somewhere else I wish I read the reviews before going here. Slow slow slow 2.5 hrs there were only two people in front of me. They gave me a prescription for antibiotic, but sent me to a pharmacy that was closed and then they closed so there is nobody to call till the next day. Tv in lobby was on a very religious program playing very loud. They make you wait and then literally only spend two minutes with you if that and send you out.Follow up: ended up going to the hospital day later: they never even looked at the cat bite at all and there was a peice of tooth stuck in the wound that this place never even looked at. The Nurse barley even touched or looked at the wound to see there was something there.. what a joke this place was STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE !!
I had my first visit tonight, and let me just say …..WOW!!!!!!! These ladies are amazing, no exaggeration either !!!! From my arrival , I am feeling sick , unhappy , grumpy as expected with being sick…..Nece so polite, very helpful, and very warm greeting !!! Once in my room Melissa came by for vitals and was so happy and cheerful, very polite as well it was almost closing time and she was so nice you would’ve thought I was the first patient of the day!!!! Ms. Crabtree came in and was very knowledgeable of my symptoms, treated me immediately for nausea (didn’t have to wait at a pharmacy all night immediate relief) gave a great explanation of all my questions, very patient. Erika was so nice…..concerned, personable and a great phlebotomist (it didn’t hurt 🙂)…..overall I was so impressed, having worked in medical offices this place stands out !!!!! I came in literally miserable and almost was 100% healed by the smiles and laughter of these wonderful ladies!!!!
Visiting the great state of Florida and went in to get a COVID test as required by my home state on my return travel. The reservation process was quick and seamless. When I showed up for my appointment they were friendly, efficient and courteous! Barely a 5 minute wait and was in and out in no time! Thanks AFC!
My wife and I came in to get a Covid test due to some travel and were required by law. The clinic is run well even though we had to wait about 30 minutes to get in and then another 20 minutes sitting in the room waiting for someone to come in to swab us. The real issue lies with the turn-around times to get results. If you need a quick turn-around DO NOT go here. It has been over a week and a half and we still have not gotten our results. I just wish we would have known this prior to going in as we would have gone elsewhere.
Staff was very welcoming. I was here to get labs they made me feel at ease and the little girl who took my blood did an excellent job, didn’t even feel it. Way to go AFC

They dont accept online appointments (appt) anymore. I booked one early in the morning on the day of my appt in their site. The system had me go through the whole patient intake process and it even sent me a confirmation text message and reminder about the appt. I arrive at this location to check in and they said they no longer can accept appt so they had me fill out the patient intake forms again before I can check in. They also could give me an ETA about when Ill be seen and they responded with something like like it depends on the amount of people being seen and what they are being seen for so i dont know Hopefully someone from their corporate office will see this and disable the online sign up process so I wont walk in thinking I was ready to fit in an appt during my lunch break.
They charged 1k for a visit which did not resolve my symptoms and then insisted that I come back for another visit for a service they do not offer (ultrasound). I sent an email to the doctor after the treating PA did not call me back. The doctor responded about 10 days later after I had to get the referral from another doctor . Would not recommend.
Recently visited this clinic for the first time and saw the nurse practitioner Kelly, it was a great experience all around. She was able to get all of my needs taken care of, and even followed up with me later in the day. Staff made the visit fun and were very welcoming. Will return for any of my future needs!
This urgent care was clean, everyone was courtesy, and my attending medical professional took the time to listen and explain things.
Was able to make an appointment online with short notice. The website allowed me to do most of the check-in and documentation prior my arrival which saved time. There was hardly any wait and I was in-and-out within 30 minutes. This was a far better experience for COVID testing than my last at an Urgent Care of a different company which took nearly 2.5 hours.

I needed a rapid COVID test; I was exposed at my office. This place was very organized and efficient. AND they have a text process that keeps you out of a crowd—once you check in at desk, you can wait in car. Doc was professional and as caring as she could be in a rapid triage, give them test situation. And because I did all their paperwork before I arrived on-line, no paperwork at office. I will use again—they take TriCare for us mil types.
This was my second visit to Tyrone AFC. I was happy with the first time, so I chose to go back! I checked in online, and they sent a text when it was time to come in. The place is very clean, and the staff is great! I saw Kelly Sommers, PA. She was excellent. I will definitely go there again if I need urgent care!
I came in for day 5 of horrible back pain. The provider Kelly was fantastic! I had to get a shot and as nervous as I was, Tracie was very gentle and talked me through every step....then I had to have blood drawn 😬. Stephanie came in, took her time and explained everything to me...she did great!! Thank you to everyone at AFC for the great service!!
Great experience(s). Staff was knowledgeable, efficient, patient, & extremely caring — no matter how busy, always professional & friendly. The center itself was VERY clean (not even 1 dust bunny to be found), & pleasantly designed & decorated (a large wall tv to watch while waiting, great for little ones). I highly recommend!
I went here because I was told this was the best in the area. I had chills and fever with trouble breathing due to my throat being sore. I called a friend to take me to AFC Tyrone because I was unfit to drive but knew I needed medical care. I walked in, and I was cold, unable to stand. I laid down on the bench inside, shaking and crying after being dropped off. Once I went back to the exam room, I shook even more as I ran a fever.I asked for a blanket but was told they didnt have any. I pleaded for anything that would help me stay warm, and they placed a urine pad over me as I curled up in a ball to conserve body heat in the chilly room. They tested me for covid but never told me that result, so Im assuming it was negative. They confirmed I had a fever and talked me out of a strep test even though my throat was on fire. After being told they would order me some meds, I was told I needed to wait in the lobby for my ride to come. The place was not busy, but I wanted to stay at the exam table because it was mildly warmer than the cold waiting room. I was told I needed to go to the lobby to wait without compassion. Once I was out there, I asked again about a strep test, trying to advocate for myself though I was not in the condition. The nurse rolled her eyes when told to test me for what seemed essential. I asked if, while I waited, I could sit outside because I was so cold; they said yes, and I then lay outside the trash can in the warm sun. As many patients were leaving, they offered me food and drink; I was humiliated to be confused for homeless. I was sick and unable to sit up and advocate for myself. While still in their “care,” they let me lay ill outside on the ground by a trash can…This place is called American Family Care, but no part of my experience matched those three words. Im appalled by the lack of humanity I encountered and genuinely shocked by the cold nature of the nurses and doctor who cared for me.” I believed that you could come here for care when you are sick. But please don’t think you will get anything that resembles human decency and respect; they will write you a script if you pay them to do so. I am saddened by my experience here and would not wish it on anyone.
The check-in was great and the staff was very pleasant. My only issue was visible hand hygiene. There were no paper towels in the dispenser in the room nor was there any hand sanitizer in the exam room. As a provider myself, I know the importance of hand hygiene and making that visible to your patients.
Everyone here is great. They are patient and take time to explain everything to you. Never felt like I was an inconvenience or a bother. The receptionist is wonderful and welcoming she’s never been short with me. With pediatric visits they’ve always been helpful and quick to respond. Definitely would recommend this place for urgent care needs.
