I would give him negative digits if I could. I am filing a complaint on him to the VA board of health professionals as soon as i get out if the hospital.I was assigned Dr. Choudhary at Inova Lansdowne Hospital as my infectious disease dr for an infection I have in my foot. Dr. Choudhary from day 1 talked down to me and used a-lot if hush signs to get me to not talk. Yeah yeah yeah type of stuff. He wanted to know why i had the infection- i have Pyroderma Gangrenosium an RA skin condition only 1% ever get.it happens for no reason or a bug can bite me at i get it. The infection comes from months of an open wound. He said my infection was fine because blood work said it was.He doctors data not people. He speaks to the patient as minimally as he can and diagnoses patients needs based on lab reports. He also is professionally inappropriate. He touched and messaged my shoulder for more than 5 minutes while checking my vitals. It creeped me out and I made sure to tell my nurses. I was willing to let this go and ask him not to touch me if he did it again. But what he did next made me ready to file a complaintI assigned a hospitalist to manage my case. She seemed great except also unwilling to talk to me a listen to me, preferring to read blood tests and use them treat me. In doing such, she changed my medicine to a drug I am allergic to and broke out in hives and itched for hours even with being given benedry to counter the effects. Since she did this I asked for a new dr. They transferred me to another doctor but on rounds Dr Choudary shopped up as a replacement for this hospitalist. Yet Choudary is an infectious disease doctor with privileges to work in infectious disease cases- not as a hospitalist. So in reality he acted as a front fir the doctor I asked to be removed. They ignored the remove from my case and put Choudary as a beard to me so I didnt know my dr hadn’t been changed. Why such games? So i didnt know why he was acting in that capacity. So I let him speak and he quickly told me everything is fine, my infection is fine I am getting released soon. When he came by for this check I was in the worst pain of my stay. I was crying and had major pain break-though in my foot where the infection is. But since his blood-data said I was fine then according to him I am fine even writhing in pain. He asked how I felt despite his eyes being able to detect that. I said pains a 10 and I feel awful. He snapped his finger, did a thumbs up sign and laughed as he went out the door. Dr. Choudhary may have a-lot of years as a doctor, but a simple google of health grades reviews and other medical reviews show a consistent pattern of ignoring or belittling patients pain needs. His bedside manner is decidedly unprofessional by messaging a patients shoulder under her thin ER gown. Then when he could help he tells you you are fine as pain tears course down your face. This will be my first time ever as a medical frequent flyer where I am taking the extra time to review and follow up with a claim with the Va Board of medicine. If he has done this to you- you should do the same.
Went to get my travel shots, i was recommended by my co-worker. Dr. Choudhary was knowledgeable about the shots and medicine i needed for my travel. i also explained about my fear of getting sick. He took his time and suggested excellent small solutions for if i did get sick. also recommended i take some Pedialyte for my kids which was absolutely helpful for when my daughter got stomach issues.highly recommended Dr. Choudhary, and will definitely recommend all my family and friends.
Visited Dr.Choudhary for severe pain in the legs. And did realize I had a tick bite that was causing infection in my leg. He was very patient in explaining the cause of my symptoms and which medication will help get me back to health.Highly recommended Dr. Choudhary, he was kind and listened very patiently to all my problems and figure out the problem.
Visited him with few symptoms of fever, headache and the rash and was super relieved and pleased after talking to him for over 30 mins. My coworker recommended him after he recovered from Bell’s palsy so quickly. Doc’s patience for listening and the knowledge about the Lyme disease was impressive. For me, he was far from Woodbridge but was worth every mile.
