I drove a hour and a half to this office. I confirmed when making my appointment if they took my insurance and they assured me they did. When I got there, the girl (pretty sure the same girl from the phone) told they do not take my insurance. I have never made a review in my life let alone a bad one, but I came to this office with a time sensitive issue regarding a 2nd opinion. I do not recommend.
We waited about 6 weeks for an appointment. When we arrived we didn’t have the results from our provider that had recommended us to the clinic. We were told to leave. The staff was rude and nasty. If they wanted us to provide results upon arrival it would be great to know before the drive and the wait time for an essential screening. My first negative review of my life. Do yourself a favor stay away, Nasty, Unprofessional, and definitely not concerned about the patient.
I have had issues with pain and fertility for years. I have gone to countless doctors, spent thousands on fertility treatments and was told it was “unexplained infertility.” We just moved to Va and I found Dr Ayoub and made an appt because I’ve been having consistent pain but no answers. My first appt- he was able to recognize through my ultrasounds and exam that I had endometriosis and recommended surgery. I’m so thankful for his knowledge, his care for my health and his listening to me right away. I just had the surgery and it ended up being stage 3-4 and had I not met Dr Ayoub, I’d still be wandering what the issue was. Also, the care and kindness of every person on the team to help me after my surgery with my 100 questions, they have been so helpful and patient. Highly highly recommend !
I’ve been a patient here for probably the last 10 years; I’m still fairly young, so all my visits have been easy, no questions, just your typical annual. I went for my annual back in May. Was hoping to have my questions answered about conceiving in the next few years. Instead, this was the fastest, most chaotic annual I’ve ever had. After the exam, I was brought back to Ayoub’s office, where I was told “You’re too young to have your blood pressure this high” and “We don’t want you having a stroke” (I just had my BP taken at my PCP 2 weeks prior and everything was normal, and told the staff that, but nobody thought to recheck my BP). After being warned about my blood pressure, he wanted to jump seamlessly into a conversation about my family history of breast cancer. Asked me if I wanted to have Gene testing done to make sure I wasn’t at risk. If my BP wasn’t already high, now really it was. So I said yes, and was immediately sent back for blood work. I wish he would have asked me if I wanted to check with my insurance first before blood work; Now I’m saddled with a $4,155 bill for Gene Testing that I only agreed to because I felt backed into a corner, anxious and uncomfortable. Will not be returning to this office.
I have been a patient at this office for a decade. Dr. Ayoub not only treats me, he treats my oldest child. He saved my life. And now he treats my mom. 3 generations of my family have put their trust in Dr. Ayoub.
Absolutely love Dr. AyoubHe delivered two of my babies, I wish he had delivered all three of them.He saved my life (literally) within an hour of getting a sonogram and realizing I had a huge ectopic pregnancy... How it didnt rupture is beyond me.He loves his patients and his staffIf you have to wait in his waiting room a while its totally worth it. 5 stars for a reason!
I moved here not knowing anyone in this town. I had no one to consult with about who to see when I got pregnant. I called around to a few female Ob doctors offices because I didn’t want a male doctor. Everyone I called had no openings for new clients. So I became more desperate and went with dr whatever his name is. The 1st visit was good. We didn’t wait long, we got to hear the baby’s heartbeat, we were able to talk, ask questions and he seemed genuine. But our 2nd visit we had to wait for 30mins then he barged in the room before knocking and didn’t ask how I was doing or if I had any question about the exam he was going to do. Instead he jumped right into the exam which took all about 2 mins. And he gave no warning before shoving his tools inside me. Then he says to my husband you look traumatized. And I say we’ve had a traumatizing day but he just walks out and doesn’t even acknowledge that I said anything. The lady that was there helping was so sweet and actually took a moment to talk to us and we explained what all happened that day. The dr really didn’t like it when we told him we were moving away. He said really you are going to move in a time like this?! He kept trying to get us to do all these tests before we leave. The doctor is inconsiderate and in it for the money not in it for the clients!
Since we moved to Northern Virginia, Dr. Jack Ayoub has been our Ob Gyn doctor (my two daughters see him as well) so far for about ten years! Throughout the years him and his staff had been extremely caring, knowledgeable, and compassionate. He has been treating my daughter who has endometriosis, did her surgery which went great, and has been so patient treating me with other issues, including a past complex cyst. I recommend him 100%! Dr. Ayoub, we are grateful beyond words!Ana (Isabel) F.
I have a lot to say about this amazing practice. I can tell you with 100% confidence that Dr. Ayoub, Greg Hunanian, Barbie and Brittney are the best team youll ever find. They are knowledgeable, kind and compassionate, and professional. You can tell they truly care. They return phone calls, explain test results, fit you in for an appointment, and take their time to ease any anxiety you may have. Plus, their office is a one stop shop- theres a lab and ultrasound in the office so you dont have to deal with annoying trips to get blood work or ultrasounds. The office is clean and inviting and has all the latest and great technologies. Further, Dr. A delivered my son and handled my medical complications- he and his team were by my side checking in on me throughout. Dont waste your time with another OBGYN- this is the best you will find.
Dr Ayoubs current staff is very poor, treated us with contempt, ignored our wishes, and the office manager especially needs to be replaced.ETA: And now they have made it worse by DELIBERATE LIES in their response. THEY agreed to an appointment with the whole family present, then changed it once we arrived. AT NO POINT did they allow me to speak to my wife. They HAVE spoken to me TWICE after I left my complaint. They should be ashamed of such OUTRIGHT LIES to hide their mistakes. We are REFUSING to pay for that appointment. We told them my wifes English has limits, and that I should be on speaker phone during the appointment. They ignored that, arrogantly decided on their own She can speak it OK. She could not understand much of what was said, was not able to ask questions, and I was barred, not allowed to ask either. What should have been a happy day, confirming she was pregnant, was wrecked. We had half a very poor appointment that left us uncertain, confused, and angry, with most of our questions still unanswered. To make it worse, the office called up after I left a complaint and, rather than address the problem, tried to insist it was all our fault. They could have offered another appointment or phone call to answer questions. They tried to blame the victims instead. We are switching our OB GYN. We wont be treated this way.
2 months pregnant and high risk - to get my records transferred they charged me $35. They forgot an important detail on my medical chart, the manager is rude and not empathetic. Dr. Ayoub is good at his job but unkempt and brazen. He was more concerned about his memorial day plans than my appointment. Super sad.
I just want to say a BIG thank you to Dr. Ayoub, and the entire VA OBGYN staff, for all of your attention and support over the past several months. With a somewhat complicated pregnancy, Dr. Ayoub and his team have been nothing but helpful, very attentive and very careful with me and my child. The entire staff is truly caring and knowledgeable. If I have any questions or issues, they are always responsive and reassuring. Issues with your insurance provider? They are there to help. Issues with your pharmacy? They take care of it. General scared mommy to be moments? They have your back. The patient portal is amazing as well. You can schedule, get information/test results, and ask as many questions as you’d like. The portal allows for a 24 hour turn around on emails/questions – but they always answer much faster than that, normally within a couple of hours at most! Dr. Ayoub is very personable and makes you feel like family. He has amazing bedside manner, and takes the time to sit down and chat with you after every appointment to answer any questions and make you feel comfortable. I have never felt rushed along in his office, and have never had to wait long to be seen. I am truly grateful for all of the support and care that the team has provided, and would highly recommend Dr. Ayoub and the team for all of your general OBGYN and birthing needs. Thank you all so much!!
Excellent doctor that took time with me. I didnt feel rushed and got all my questions answered. Nurses were also very attentive.
Talk about a perfect doctor, it doesnt get better than this! From the moment you walk in the door, the congenial staff not only does everything possible to make you feel special, but it is clear they genuinely feel that way. Typically, when you are dealing with a physician who is at the top of his field, commanding the level of technical expertise that Dr. Ayoub has obtained (one of the most talented da Vinci minimally invasive surgeons in the country), the bed side manner goes out the window, because the doctor is just so talented that its not necessary for a successful practice. However, Dr. Ayoub is a rare and exceptional person. It is clear that he cares for his patients like his own family. I have never encountered a doctor with such knowledge and talent that absolutely loves what he is doing so much and cares so deeply for his patients. I feel lucky and blessed to have found him and his hard-working, caring staff. Having worked for another surgeon in the area, and having had the benefit of seeing the work of many others, I can honestly say there is no other doctor I would trust more with my health from a technically proficient viewpoint. From my heart, Ive never seen a physician with such a great ability to convey just how much he cares about his patients. Im almost hesitant to post this review, because Im afraid once word gets out about how great he is, that hell get so booked up, and I wont be able to get in!
I wish I had read all the reviews before I went to Dr. Ayoub. All the negative reviews are true. Dr. Ayoub and his staff are so incompetent that it is scary. I thank God for the fact that I realized what was going on and got a second opinion. Dr. Ayoub misdiagnosed me, put me on medication I didnt need, and ordered procedures I didnt needed. The office also billed me for things they didnt do. Did any previous reviews mention all Dr. Ayoub cares about is money and not your health? Also true. Not only did he not take proper care, but he actually put my health in danger by doing all these things I didnt need. A lawsuit is coming your way. Someone has to put a stop to this incompetent practice. Youre actually harming people!
There arent enough words to describe how wonderful Dr. Ayoub is. Not only does he have amazing bedside manner, he pays attention to the details and genuinely cares for his patients. He was the first doctor to take my symptoms seriously and ultimately saved my life.
Dr. Ayoub is so skilled and amazing! He gets right down to the nitty gritty so that you can get the care you definitely need for your problems. He just did my laparoscopic surgery yesterday and I have had no pain since, haven’t even taken any of the medicine prescribed just Advil for the discomfort. He did what we talked about and I am feeling great!! You have endometriosis or think you do, come see Dr. Ayoub and his staff!! They’ll take care of you!
Dr. Ayoub is an excellent, caring & personable doctor. Highly recommend! He has grown his practice very quickly because he is that good - so yes, he is very busy. Im sad to read reviews saying the 5-stars are fake.. I assure you, my opinion of Dr. A is real & authentic!
Dr Ayoub truly cares for his patients. Hes to the point and does whatever he can to help you live your best life. As someone who always had female drs, I was nervous, but his reputation led me to take a chance. He listens, esp if you have pain. He has been with me through adenomyosis, endometriosis and a resulting hysterectomy. He doesnt judge, and offers whatever he can. I am pain free and so happy.
I dont understand why anyone would have a negative review for Dr. Ayoub. I went to him during my 1st pregnancy when my then (highly rated) OB/GYNs office kept messing up my schedule. I found out I was pregnant the day my husband deployed for a year to Afghanistan, and I was an emotional wreck when I couldnt even get an appointment to see how far along I was. A friend recommended Dr. Ayoub and I called and they had me come in the very next day for a quick check during his lunch break! They had me in the following week for a complete work up. Every step of the way, he was amazing- he let me skype my husband in to appointments and always scheduled time for when my husband was home on R&R. When I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes (a complete fluke given I had zero risk factors) he walked me through everything carefully and we got things under control by adjusting my diet. When I fell while walking our dogs he had me go straight to labor and delivery to be monitored and saw me twice while I was there. We scheduled an induction so my husband could be home for the delivery- and less than 24 hours after my husband landed, I went in to labor on my own! Dr. Ayoubs philosophy is such that he wants you to know you have all options on the table up to the last minute so long as the baby is doing great. If things arent going great, then his job is to get a healthy baby delivered! He is very matter of fact about how cautious he is and how his priority is getting mom and baby through delivery safe and sound. He expects patients to engage actively in their pregnancy, and expects them to listen, which is more than fair when he takes the time to sit down with you in his personal office after every single visit to go over your chart and make sure you are doing well! How many OBs have you ever sat down with in front of their desk to chat like friends? We are now expecting our second and would not want anyone else delivering our son.
The staff is very attentive, Dr. Ayoub gets to the point, tell you as it is, he doesnt beat around the bush, he tells you what the problem is, how he can fix it and we get it fixed! I really love his honesty. My husband met him on the day of my surgery and thought exactly the same.
Do not trust all these fake five star reviews! Dr. Ayoub has very bad bedside manner. To include my own personal experiences and those of my friends who have visited his office I hope you do not make the same mistake and trust this doctor with the health of your unborn child! He is very short on time and equally short on patience. Stay away!
The staff and experience are wonderful. I was diagnosed with endometriosis at 20 years old and had been managing the pain and periods with birth control, and would switch to a new prescription each time the medication stopped helping. My OBGYN recommended Dr. Ayoub who prescribed me Orilissa. I have been on Orilissa since August this year and the past 4 months have been the most pain-free I have been in 3 years. I cannot express how liberating it has felt to not only feel no endometrial pain, but also to not experience the mental burden of constantly wondering when my cramps would come or if I was going to wake up the next morning heavily bleeding. I am incredibly grateful to the practice for helping me feel like a functional person again and heavily recommended making an appointment if you are on the fence.
Everyone from the front desk staff to the ultrasound technician to the nurses to the nurse practitioner to most importantly, Dr. Jack Ayoub are first class.I receive the most amazing support every appointment and every question I get answered whenever I need. Thanks for everything!!
There are not enough words to describe Dr. Monica Lee. Lets just say I spent 2 weeks looking on the internet for a Doctor because when it comes to OBGYN I freak out. From the moment Dr. Lee walked in she was beyond sweet, kind, nice and funny too!! She took her time with me, and assured me when I was uncomfortable. Her personality, intelligence and kindness makes you want to keep her as your Doctor forever! I would recommend her to everyone she is fabulous!
His staff is extremely kind and I feel sorry for them. He runs his practice like a mill, churning his patients in and out as quickly as he can, causing him to be discombobulated, forgetful, insanely late, and... I could go on (I will, in fact!) He orders procedures and imaging that are not necessary, as was confirmed for me by a doctor who reviewed my medical files after I stopped seeing him. If youre not pregnant or you dont want a hysterectomy or some other procedure, hes not interested, and he WILL try to find something you need done. All that a side, he over books himself to the point of concern for his patients comfort and I would say safety... Based on what I saw its a matter of time before he screws something up badly... Here was my experience after I scheduled a DNC, which took place at Reston hospital: I see him after waiting for an hour in some hospital holding room. He says, youre here for a full hysterectomy...... uh no. That was scary, but okay, that can happen, thats why they ask. Ill see you before surgery but I have some patients back at my office I need to see, so Ill be running about 20 minutes late... annoying and Ive already waited a while to see you at this point, but okay... Flash forward 2.5 hours and the anesthesiologist comes in asks me if I know where the dr is what is taking so long. Uh, no. My husband asks a few times during our wait. Literally we were told that no one knew where he was and he wasnt answering his phone. After all that wait, someone comes to roll me off and tells me that dr ayoub refused to see me before surgery and wanted me to under/sedated/out already when he came in. The nurse who informed me also indicated that she thought what had gone on was outrageous. Whatever, at least Im getting the surgery done. I never see him or speak to him again... Now my post op appointment. I wait for 50 minutes in the waiting room. They then take me to a room where I wait another 10. He walks in and Im fuming... first thing he says im so happy we did that surgery-- when I saw inside your uterus I thought for sure you had cancer..... WHAT??? I say so that pathology can back clean..... he says uhhh actually let me double check.... WHAT??? He takes me to his office and launches into reading off the pathology in dr speak, some of which he admits that he doesnt know what it means. He says I dont have cancer but I may want to consider hysterectomy. I ask for the imaging/photos from the scoping they did. Oops, he left them at the hospital, sorry, nothing they can do. Fed up then by a continual loop of double speak, confusion, and forgetfulness, I then ask for all of my medical records, pathology reports, everything in my file. He is then offended and asks if I am doubting his medical care. Yes, yes, I am. I took those files to another doctor who then informed me that I didnt need the mammograms he ordered, I was too young, his notes from surgery dont indicate seeing any unusual tissue that would warrant him saying he thought I had cancer. That doctor of course said Ayoub was competent--Im sure she wouldnt want to be part of the professional gossip mill about him. He may be competent, but he is irresponsible. Thankfully, I left his practice, am now pregnant after just 2 months of trying, and looking forward to my first child.
Dr. Ayoub is an amazing Dr. and surgeon!! He takes the time to listen and comes up with a solution he has treated me as if I was family or a long time friend someone who I feel comfortable sharing details about my health with. I am 100% pleased with Dr. Ayoub and his wonderful staff
Had an annual check up today..was slightly nervous at the prospect of a new OBGYN but everything went smoothly! The entire staff was so polite. Rebecca Tenholder is a great nurse practitioner. I would recommend her to anyone.
No doctor I’ve met cares more about his patients than Dr. Ayoub does. His office staff is always so professional yet personable at the same time. I feel like I’m apart of their family.
I use to really love this place. Cindy is phenomenal! once I met Dr. ayoub and his rude Russian side kick, they have devastated my condition, and I really wish they had an idea how the affect others lives. I am chek so by far not racist. they are on my loathe list, and if you met me Im nothing but a sweet hard working American. I do NOT recommend them. Cancer grows and they do not care about individuals, just number 22,2222 to them.
This is my first pregnancy and I am a bundle of nerves. But Dr. Lee and all the nursing staff, including the ladies that work reception, are the kindest and most understanding people out there. I can’t reccomend this office enough!
Dr. Ayoub lied and said that I had endometriosis just so he could get the kickback for me taking orilissa. Thank God I got a second opinion!Margaret and Brittany are great, otherwise, that office is a sinking ship!
From beginning to end Dr. Ayoub. Dr. Lee and staff have been very helpful and personable. I appreciate all they do and am grateful to have had great prenatal care.
Bait as switch. Want to run you through their own surgical suite and charge you out of pocket rather than through your insurance. My medical records were completely inaccurate in the hopes to have my claim denied and I would be stuck with a huge bill. Used car salesman, anyone?
I recently moved to this area and looking for a doctor, I did a little research on my own, but couldn’t choose one until one of my coworkers recommended this practice, and all I have to say everyone was very professional. Doctor answer all my questions and they had being nothing, but helpful.
Dr Ayoub and his staff are the most knowledgeable and respectful staff that i have ever encountered I have been with his practice for a few years now and the excellence that I receive is the best it says a lot when you can get in contact with him at any time that you have a concern Dr Ayoub and staff is wonderful.
Worst patient care ever. Do not recommend. Worst experience of my life from the front desk staff all the way to the doctor.
Thank you for the follow up phone call. I hope you share my experience with the front desk staff so they can better assist future patients.
They were very professional, attentive, and made the procedure very comfortable. Very happy with the experience and the results. Would recommend this team to others!!
Very professional and everyone in the office is super friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone! I’m very satisfied with the procedure I got done.
I received the best care at Dr. Ayoubs office,Everyone here is always so attentive and caring!I appreciate everyone there :)
I wouldn’t suggest this place at all. They just care about money and time but not your health! Finally I found a great OB.
Very professional and friendly. Made me extremely comfortable and answered my many questions. Would recommend to anyone!
The doctor and staff made me feel so comfortable and at ease
He is rude and greedy. A complete pathetic excuse for a doctor.
Great doctor and awesome surgery experience!
